Day 2 – A Strategic Move: From Gould Bay to Belgrano Base

On our expedition’s second day, we successfully departed from Gould Bay, completing a planned flight to the Argentinian Belgrano Base.

Navigating the Antarctic terrain, we maintained our research objectives and logistical timeline.

Flying with the experienced Kenn Borek crew at an optimal elevation of approximately 1,300 feet, we utilized our specialized equipment to maximum effect.

Our science aircraft -DHB – is outfitted with ice-penetrating airborne radar and snow radar, allowing us to conduct detailed studies of the ice sheet’s upper layers—a critical component of our research mission.

Currently situated at the strategically located Belgrano Base, we are taking a well-deserved moment of rest.
